One of my favorites; Platycerium bifurcatum, commonly known as the Elkhorn Fern, i call them Antler Plant, is a Platycerium species of fern. It is native to southeastern Australia, in New South Wales, Queensland, and on Lord Howe Island. Wikipedia I took the photo yesterday at flower district/nyc. Aren’t they gorgeous? : ) Love the orchids too, but i kill them all the time. : (

Finnish graphic designer Vladimir Stankovic has created a series of illustrated natural history animated GIFs entitled ‘Cephalopodoptera’.
The work depicts a new order of fantasy species of insects and mollusks, glimmering and flickering with imagination.The elusive critters are said to live in the deepest underwater caves of oceans worldwide, equipped with the intelligence equal to that of moths and squid.
Due to this skill, they have remained hidden for centuries and are waiting to be discovered… >designboom.
